REMAIN TRUE TO YOURSELF, BUT MOVE EVER UPWARD

W H Y   T H E R A P Y ?

On the outside looking in it seems like you have it all together. But really you're in survival mode, wondering why it seems easier to everyone else. You feel alone, like you're losing your mind. You are constantly looking out for the needs of others, to the point where you neglect your own basic needs. You have no idea where your illness ends and where you start. Each day feels like you are battling different parts in your own mind, struggling to get even the bare minimum done. But each day you push through, hoping for relief. Your faith was once a reassurance, but you're beginning to question if there is even a God is listening...because it sure feels like no one is there.  Others may try to help. "Have you tried yoga?" they ask. "What if you just kept a to-do list?" they question. "It will pass" they attempt to soothe. You attempt to cope, but no matter what you try it seems you just can't escape.

Depression, anxiety, chronic health struggles, life challenges, and patterns of generational trauma are really good at convincing us that we are alone.  But that is a lie that only keeps us trapped and isolated, and allow me to tell you that

YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

There are multiple etiologies of psychology, all of which contribute to therapeutic interventions. In our practice we pull from the following modalities:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Trauma-Informed Treatment

  • Person Centered Therapy

Visit each therapist's individual profile to learn more about which interventions are incorporated into sessions.

We believe that people are comprised of multiple parts which create our internal system. Through therapy we can learn to love the parts of ourselves that have been isolated, shamed, and hurt. Through therapy we can reach out to our inner exiles with love and compassion, and bring them 'home' to a space of internal healing. We believe that no parts of the self are bad, and all parts are inherently worthy and loveable. We utilize thought challenging techniques that stem from CBT to help these parts formulate more helpful roles, as well as incorporate concepts from EFT and trauma focused treatment to better connect to those parts that have been isolated for so long.
